The Challenge

The client was a US-based Web3 startup partnered with prominent digital creators, boasting a 25,000-person Discord community but lacking a technical team. They faced three critical challenges: an immovable 8-week launch deadline tied to a major NFT industry event, absolute smart contract security requirements to prevent brand-destroying exploits, and a need to bypass prohibitively high Ethereum mainnet gas fees for retail buyers.

The Engineered Solution

We engineered a complete Web3 ecosystem running on Polygon PoS to achieve sub-$0.01 transaction costs. The solution featured four interconnected smart contracts built in Solidity 0.8.19: a gas-optimized ERC-721A batch-minting contract with merkle-tree whitelist verification, a time-weighted NFT staking contract, a custom ERC-20 utility reward token, and a multi-sig treasury. The frontend was built using React and wagmi/RainbowKit for seamless wallet connections, complete with a real-time staking dashboard updating yields every 15 seconds.

The Challenge

A UK digital lending platform processing GBP 2M monthly in loan applications was throttled by a monolithic PHP 5.6 codebase. They faced severe EC2 vertical scaling caps (exceeding 12-second load times at peak), monthly high-risk deployment windows with long rollbacks, conversion drops on mobile (jQuery frontend), and a lack of access controls and logging blocking credit union white-label deals due to SOC 2 compliance deficits.

The Engineered Solution

Using a Strangler Fig pattern, we systematically migrated their PHP monolith to a cloud-native microservices architecture on AWS EKS without a single second of platform downtime. The system was split into six Node.js/NestJS microservices connected via Amazon EventBridge and RDS PostgreSQL. The frontend was completely rebuilt from scratch in React 18 and TypeScript as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with camera document OCR upload, while comprehensive auditing logs and IAM access rules enabled SOC 2 readiness.
